What data is collected

Service details: Information about your pets, yard access codes, and specific service preferences.
Cookies: Small data files stored on your device to enhance your experience and analyze site traffic.

The information we collect is used in the following ways:

Service provision: To schedule, perform, and manage our dog waste removal services.
Communication: To contact you about your service, respond to inquiries, and send important updates.
Service improvement: To analyze usage trends and improve our website and service offerings.
Billing: To process payments and manage your account.
Advertising and retargeting: We use analytics and advertising technologies — including cookies and pixels from advertising platforms such as Meta and Google — to measure ad performance and to show ads to people who have previously visited our site (retargeting). This may involve sharing online identifiers with those platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of this use of your information as described under Your rights, and through your browser or device settings.

We take the security of your data seriously. Our protection measures include:

Encryption: Secure transmission of sensitive data over the internet.
Access controls: Restricting access to personal information to authorized personnel only.
Stripe payments: Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Card numbers are transmitted directly to and stored by Stripe under its security controls and privacy terms. Scoop-A-Doo does not store full payment card numbers.
Service-photo retention: Service photos are retained while the customer account is active and for three years after final service. They may be kept longer only when needed for an open dispute, insurance claim, or legal obligation.
Secure storage: Account and scheduling information is held in our client portal, operated by reputable third-party providers with strong security practices.

You have certain rights regarding your personal information:

Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: You can ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion: You can request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain legal obligations.
Opt out: You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
Opt out of targeted advertising: You may opt out of the use of your information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising by contacting us at scoopadootx@gmail.com, or by using available browser and device controls.
